I develop biochemical assays, automate them and test compounds to see their potential drug interactions. The data that I generate is put into a database. From the database we hope to be able to predict function based on strucutral characteristics and predit if a paticular compound will make it through FDA trials by comparing its performance to other compounds. This is pretty cool because I've wanted to be a scientist since I was a wee lad reading issues of Scientific American and National Geographic and going to Seattle Robotics Society meetings. I wonder sometimes how lucky I am to have realized the vision of creating my own reality.
