These are pictures of the farm my dad, James Larry Stanaway, has lived on for the last 16 years. My father has cultivated about five acres surrounding the house into a showcase orchard and gardens covering several genera of floral beauty. We as of the Summer of 2000 are starting a business selling plants that he has propagated from his farm. We are www.mountaintopplants.com. I lived and worked here with my father all through my middle and highschool years. We built the farm on 35 acres of timberland 14 miles west of Longview Washington on Highway 4. The homestead is about 2 miles away from the Columbia River on a ridgeline with a grand panoramic view of Mount Saint Helens, the Columbia River and the city lights of Longview.
This is the chivegarden. Notice the nice mix of herbal and ornamental species around the rasied chivebed. The oregano in the back is a lemony flavored variety.
