55,413 fans came out to see the A's and Giants play in the
last game of the three-game set in Oakland. It was, at the time, the
second-largest regular season crowd in Oakland A's history, topped only by
2002's game against the Kansas City Royals when the A's won their American
League record 20th game in a row. This time around, the A's won the game
and series by a score of 6-5. In fact, that was the score after just three
innings, but the pitchers shut the bats down the rest of the
way.
Sitting in section 124 with a friend, we had great seats for this
one, and the monopod I bought was very useful for my first day game with
it. Not only that, the new 3x telephoto lens made for some great close-ups
from the seats, all things considered. I continue to be greatly impressed
at what this camera is capable of doing. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions,
comments, etc.
